This project is a labor of love, but it can’t be done without your help. It’s simply too time-intensive. Financial contributions of all sizes are greatly appreciated. (If you would like your contribution to be tax-deductible, please, see the note below the donation box.)
Police Files is fiscally sponsored by the Anti Police-Terror Project (APTP), an Oakland-based 501(c)(3) organization, meaning your financial support for Police Files can be tax-deductible. Get in touch with us and we can make arrangements for such a contribution.
Here’s the skinny on financial costs for sustaining this project. Work can be done full-time for as little as $20/hour. (That’s barely over minimum wage in Oakland, which is currently $16.50/hr.) On the one hand, $3200/month might seem like a lot of money, but, on the other, it’s a bargain for the incredible resource this project will soon become. We have only a minimal amount of operational overhead. It’s pretty much all about covering labor. And the more hands on deck, the faster and better it all comes together. Please, give generously, monthly if possible. Hit up friends, relatives, and other contacts with disposable income who would be supportive of a project such as this. Thank you.
